How we work with international clients

The first consultation takes place by phone or video call, in English. Documents can be exchanged by e-mail, and the power of attorney can be signed remotely — most clients never need to travel to Poland until (and unless) a court hearing requires their personal presence. Court proceedings in Poland are conducted in Polish; we prepare all pleadings, arrange sworn translations where needed, and make sure you understand every step. Can I get divorced in Poland if my spouse is Polish?

Usually yes — EU jurisdiction rules (Brussels II ter) allow divorce in Poland in most cases where one spouse is a Polish national or the couple last lived in Poland. Divorces are heard by regional courts (for our area: the Regional Court in Zielona Góra or Gorzów Wielkopolski). We verify jurisdiction before filing.

Do I have to come to Poland for my case?

In most matters — no. Consultations, documents and the power of attorney are handled remotely, and the attorney appears in court on your behalf. Personal appearance is typically required only once in divorce cases (examination of the parties), and courts increasingly allow remote testimony.

I inherited property in Poland but live abroad. Where do I start?

With Polish probate: a court confirmation of inheritance (or a notarial deed, if all heirs cooperate). We conduct the entire proceedings under a power of attorney, including land register entries — without you travelling to Poland. Watch the 6-month deadline for rejecting an inheritance that carries debts.
